SBI PO Recruitment 2026: 1500 Probationary Officer Vacancies Announced
The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the official notification for the recruitment of 1500 Probationary Officers (POs) for the year 2026. Graduates from any discipline are eligible to apply.

– Preliminary Examination: August 2026
– Main Examination: September 2026
– Psychometric Test, Group Exercise & Interview: October/November 2026

Vacancy Details
A total of 1500 Probationary Officer vacancies have been announced. The number of vacancies is provisional and may be revised based on the Bank’s requirements.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
Final-year or final-semester students may also apply provisionally, provided they can submit proof of passing the qualifying examination by the prescribed date.
Candidates holding professional qualifications such as Engineering, Medical, Chartered Accountancy (CA), Cost Accountancy, and other equivalent qualifications are also eligible.
Age Limit (as on 01 April 2026)
– Minimum Age: 21 Years
– Maximum Age: 30 Years
Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category candidates as per Government of India norms.

Salary & Benefits
The starting basic pay for an SBI Probationary Officer is ₹48,480. In addition to basic pay, officers are entitled to:
– Dearness Allowance (DA)

– City Compensatory Allowance (CCA)
– Medical Benefits
– Leave Fare Concession (LFC)
– National Pension System (NPS)
– Lease Rental Facility
– Other allowances as per SBI rules
The approximate Annual CTC is ₹21.97 lakh at the Mumbai posting centre.
