Dyssomnia is a broad term for sleep disorders the impact on the quality and quantity of the sleep. The two main types are insomnia and Hypersomnia.

 

INSOMNIA

It is a condition where the patient feels problem in falling and staying asleep.

IGNATIA AMARA

• Insomnia from grief.

• Dreams continuing a long time, troubling him.

• Sleep light, every sound wakes.

LACHESIS MUTUS

• Light sleep with frequent and easy waking

• Sleeplessness, chiefly before midnight, with excessive nervous excitement.

• Frightful dreams of snakes.

NUX VOMICA 

• Sleeplessness from flatus.

• Continual, fantastic, terrible and anxious or voluptuous dreams.

• Cannot sleep after 3 am until towards morning.

 

HYPERSOMNIA

It is a condition with excessive sleepiness.

Opium

• Great drowsiness, falls into a heavy stupid sleep.

• Stupefying yet un refreshing sleep.

• Sleep heavy, stupid, with stetorous breathing.

Antimonium Crudum

• Strong inclination to sleep during the day, and somnolency, chiefly in the evening or morning.

• Continual drowsiness in old people.

• Sleepy and weary .

Antimonium Tartaricum

• Great drowsiness, with all complaints or from warmth.

• Deep and stupefying sleep.
