DIFFERENT MIASMS IN HOMEOPATHY

We have frequently heard about PSORA, sycosis and syphilis.

Lets see about some more different miasms in homeopathy which we do not come across often.

1. Tubercular miasm

Tubercular miasm is considered to be a hybrid miasm, combining elements of psora and syphilis.

DISSATISFACTION is markedly seen with alternating, periodic, one – sided manifestations.

The miasm is named after tuberculosis since it mirrors the chronic wasting and mental emotional patterns associated with TB like conditions even though the person never had tuberculosis.

2.Cancer miasm

Cancer miasm is combination of sycotic and syphilitic miasms.

It is not necessarily related to the disease cancer but rather the energetic pattern seen in individuals who live under extreme internal pressure by often trying to be perfect, suppressing emotions and striving for control.

This miasm was developed by morden homepaths like Dr. Douglas M. Borland, Dr. M.L. Dhawale and Dr. Rajan Sankaran.

3.Fixed miasm

The miasm of those diseases which represents their clinical features in a more or less fixed nature. Eg, the miasm of whooping cough, smallpox etc.

4.Spiritual miasm

Spiritual miasm is not a concept of homeopathy typically.

A spiritual miasm represents an inherited or accumulated energetic imbalances. It is something that clouds the soul, blocks growth or leads to disconnection from one’s higher self.

5.Half spiritual miasm

This concept isn’t typically a standard part of classical homeopathy .

Half : Partial, incomplete or ambiguous

Spiritual: Relating to the soul, the intangible, higher consciousness.

The miasms of measles, pox, scarlet fever etc are considered as half spiritual examples since the patient either dies or after completing their parasitical existence in the system the miasm die out leaving the patient to quickly recover.

6.Acute miasm

Acute miasms are responsible for recurring and non recurring acute infectious diseases.

7.Chronic miasm

Chronic miasm are responsible for producing chronic diseases or chronic disease reactions in an organism.

8.Drug miasm

The prolonged use of any medicine or even vaccination in any form may give rise to an artificial chronic disease with a possibility of a permanent dyscrasia.

As this satisfies all the criteria of a Miasmatic state or disease, such drugs are responsible for producing Miasmatic diseases and are termed as the drug miasm.

9.Accesory miasm

An accessory miasm is a secondary or superimposed disturbance. It is not one of the major chronic miasm rather a complicating layer of illness.

Accessory miasm associates or overlaps the actual chronic miasm and alters the disease picture.
