• Sarsaparilla, also known as Smilax ornata or Smilax regelii, is a plant native to Central and South America.
• It has been used traditionally in herbal medicine for various purposes, including as a remedy for skin conditions, digestive issues, and as a general tonic.

Preparation: Sarsaparilla is prepared using the root of the plant. The remedy is typically made by taking the root and triturating it with lactose or sucrose to create a mother tincture. This tincture is then diluted and succussed repeatedly to create different potencies.

Indications of Sarsaparilla are:

1. Urinary Symptoms: It is particularly noted for its effectiveness in addressing urinary symptoms, especially those involving painful urination. Symptoms that may indicate the need for Sarsaparilla include a cutting or burning sensation during urination, urinary urgency, and discomfort in the bladder region.
