Antepartum Hemorrhage (Bleeding) with Homoeopathy

Antepartum hemorrhage:

Antepartum hemorrhage is bleeding from genital during 20th-24th week of pregnancy up to delivery.

It may be associates with reduce fetal weight. If it is not treated leads to death of the mother or baby.

Homeopathic management for antepartum hemorrhage:

Arnica Montana:

Bleeding was profuse which is bright red colour mixed with clots, it may be due to removal of placenta from uterus. Arnica sometimes indicated in traumatic APH.

Mechanical trauma due to fall, traction of umbilical cord during labour, forceful external cephalic version. Hemorrhage with pain in back extending up to groin and medial side of things. Sensation of bruised, she feels that her body is beaten by something.

Caulophyllum:

Hemorrhage before labour starts. Bleeding from uterine cavity. Feels weakness all over the body which is associated with blood flow.

Retroplacental bleeding followed by compression of inferior vena cava by gravid uterus. Profuse bleeding which is sudden onset. This remedy acts best when uterus was inertia with relaxation of uterine muscles and ligaments.

Crocus sativa:

Dark, seedy, viscid,clotted blood flows in long strings. Bleeding due to overlifting or from straining. Uterine hemorrhage after full term with jerking. Cutting type of pain extends to back. During hemorrhage, feet are icy cold. Full bounding pulse, jerking pains in left breast, sensation something alive in the breast.

Ferrum phos:

It is one of great anti-haemorrhagic remedy. Copious discharge of partly fluid, partly black and coagulated. Bearing down sensation in uterine region, tendency of prolapse of uterus. Vaginal bleeding is severe and continuous.

Patient become pale and coldness of extremities. Blood is collected between the placenta and the uterine wall and quantity of the blood cannot be determined.

Sabina:

Profuse bleeding with clots, pain extends between sacrum and pubis. Increase in  blood flow leads to increase in foetal heart sound. Bleeding is due to excited with the slightest motion.

Secale Cor:

Painless profuse bleeding due to detachment of placenta or defective coagulation. It causes cortical necrosis and infarction of the decidua. Bleeding may be slight, continuous and dark, associates with pain in abdomen, tearing pain in uterus. Patient is not in a position to pass urine during labour.

Hamamelis virginica:

Remedy mostly indicated in passive venous hemorrhage. Blood is dark red in colour, passive in nature, non coagulable. Fullness and Soreness in abdomen.

Varicosity of the uterine vessels. Shock due to hemorrhage in patient. Throbbing pain in the stomach associated with tenderness of vagina, great bearing down pain in back.
