Menorrhagia causes and its Homoeopathic management :
Menorrhagia is a abnormal, heavy menstrual bleeding.
Causes:
Abnormalities of uterine tract.
Anovulation.
Bleeding disorders.
Hormonal imbalance (hypothyroidism).
Carcinoma.
HOMOEOPATHIC REMEDIES:
IODUM:
It is uterine haemorrhage due to pathological condition of uterus . Menorrhagia with enlarged and indurated uterus. Acute catarrh of endometrium. During menses their is a great weakness and wedge like pain in right ovarian region. Bleeding appears at every stool with cutting pain in the abdomen, and pain in loins nd back.
Modalities :
Aggravation by warmth
Amelioration by cold.
PHOSPHORUS :
Dysfunctional uterine haemorrhage and polycystic ovarian disease and uterine polypi is main cause of menorrhagia. Menses too early and scanty it’s too long lasting. Bleeding is copious, dark red and non.coagulable. Menorrhagia appears in nursing women’s with burning and stitching pain in uterine region. Pain radiating down to the inner side of the thighs. Associates with stitching type of pain in the breast during menses and numbness and trembling and paralytic weakness of extremities.

Amelioration by lying on right side.
SABINA :
It is an great anti.haemorrhagic remedy. Menses are lasting partly fluid and partly clotted which is offensive in nature. Blood comes out as gushes. Intense colicky pains in abdomen at time of menses associates with bearing down or labour like pains. Pains extends from vagina to uterus. Discharge appears between periods with sexual excitement.
Modalities:
Aggravation by warm room, hot food, warm application.
Amelioration by open air, cold drinks, cold application.
CIMICIFUGA :
Menorrhagia due to prolapse of uterus. Menses too profuse and too early, sometimes twice a month. Blood appears as dark and coagulated. Having bearing down and pressing type of pain in uterine region. Pains extends from hip to hip. Backache associates during menstruation with heavy, pressing down sensation. Shooting pain and throbbing type of pain in head as a reflex of uterine bleeding.

KREOSOTUM :
Aliments from endometrial polyps or the abnormal growth of the uterine cavity. Burning and Soreness in external and internal parts. Menses are too early and prolonged and black and offensive Discharges excoriate the thighs. Bleeding from uterine cavity is continuous in nature and flow increase on exertion. Pain in abdomen and burning and scratching sensation at vulval region and medial sides of thighs associates.

Aggravation by cold air , after washing the parts.

BELLADONNA :
Along with menorrhagia she complaints about mastodynia. Menses are profuse and bright red in colour it is due to excess of blood, blood appears dark and offensive feels hot with dark clots. Severe cutting pain from hip to hip and strong bearing down pain feels vagina would escape.
Modalities:
Aggravation by Moving about and bending, lying down.
Amelioration by sitting in erect position.
PLATINA :
Blood is very dark and clotted with spasmodic pains. Pains comes and go very gradually. Severe bearing down pain with numbness of pelvic region. Flow appears every fourteenth day with tingling sensation in the parts. Profuse leucorrhoea appears after menses.

Aggravation by excitement, while sitting and standing.
Amelioration by moving in open air.
